Meet Sheena McLaughlin: A Journey of Healing and Holistic Care
With 19 years of experience as a massage therapist, Sheena McLaughlin’s passion for holistic wellness began with a simple suggestion from her father. Originally pursuing a career in physical therapy, Sheena realized her true calling was a more hands-on, personalized approach to healing. That realization led her to massage therapy—a career that has flourished across the many seasons of her life, even as her family traveled the country following her husband’s military service.
Three years ago, Sheena established Gaffney Massage & Holistic Therapies in Gaffney, South Carolina. Her unique business model is a collaborative effort with three other therapists, each running their own businesses while specializing in different areas of massage and holistic health. As the program director for massage therapy at her local community college, Sheena has also mentored two of her team members, who were once her students.
A Holistic Approach to Wellness
Gaffney Massage offers more than traditional massage therapy. Sheena and her team combine modern and traditional therapies to address the root causes of health issues and support the body’s natural healing processes. Their services include medical massage therapy, homeopathy, functional health services, and innovative treatments such as salt booth and infrared sauna therapy. Sheena’s clients often come to her after exhausting traditional medical options, seeking a path to lasting wellness. Her personalized care dives deep into health histories, identifies patterns, and focuses on the root causes of symptoms to create sustainable, effective solutions.
