The Municipal Association of South Carolina and Main Street South Carolina (the “Partners”) have supported the development of this website, but do not manufacture, sell, inspect, or warrant any of the products or services offered on this website. The availability of products or services through this website does not indicate the Partners’ affiliation with or endorsement of any product, service, vendor, or manufacturer. Accordingly, the Partners do not provide any warranties with respect to the products or services offered on this website.

WeShopSC strives to promote South Carolina’s cities, towns, and local small businesses in a manner that is welcoming, inclusive, and family-friendly. To foster a marketplace community that is friendly and safe for all users, WeShopSC does not allow the listing of certain products and services. In general, WeShopSC reserves the right to decline listing of any products or services that it determines, in its sole discretion, to be contrary to its mission and values. Without limiting the generality of this policy, the following products and services may not be listed on WeShopSC: 

1. Products, services, or other materials that promote intolerance or hatred; defame or slander any person or groups of people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or other factors; or encourage or incite violent acts. 

2. Products, services, or other materials that are slanderous, obscene, profane, vulgar, repulsive or offensive, either in theme or in treatment.

3. Weapons of any sort including, without limitation, firearms, ammunition, knives, brass knuckles, gun parts, and other armaments. 

4. Tobacco, cigarettes, and nicotine-containing substances intended to be inhaled, ingested, or otherwise consumed or used. 

5. Alcohol. 

6. Drugs and drug paraphernalia which includes psychotropic substances, narcotics, intoxicants of any description, illegal drugs and drug accessories, and herbal drugs like salvia and magic mushrooms. 

7. Prescription drugs, any products requiring a prescription by a licensed medical practitioner, and herbal drugs or alternative medicine products intended to be ingested, injected, or topically applied. 

8. Adult products, adult services, sexual enhancement or sexual health products, and other sexually suggestive materials. 

9. Unauthorized copies of books, music, movies, or any other copyrighted material. 

10. Counterfeit and unauthorized goods, which includes replicas or imitations of designer goods, fake autographs, counterfeit stamps, and other potentially deceptive or misleading goods. 

11. Materials, products, or information promoting illegal goods or enabling illegal acts. 

12. Pyrotechnic devices, combustibles, corrosives, and hazardous materials, which includes explosives, fireworks and related goods, and toxic, flammable, or radioactive materials and substances. 

13. Living or dead creatures, and/or the whole or any part of an animal that has been kept or preserved such as rugs, skins, antlers, horns, hair, nails, or teeth, as well as any other animal product the sale and purchase of which is prevented or restricted in any manner by applicable laws (including the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972). 

14.Any other product or service that is not fully in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. 

WeShopSC reserves the right to deny access to and terminate the account of any business or user that offers prohibited products or services or that violates the applicable terms of service. Likewise, WeShopSC may deny access to and terminate the account of any business or user about whom WeShopSC has received repeated customer complaints.
