"My father cut my hair for the first 17 years of my life. When I was sixteen, my brother and I got worried that he wouldn't always be around to cut our hair. So I tried. I tried to do what my father did. I took the clippers out, ran over the top of my head, and at the first stroke, I cut a big bald spot in my head. That sparked my curiosity from there on out.

I'm a perfectionist, and I like to master what I do. I kept exploring, cutting my nephews’ hair, my friends' kids' hair, and anyone who would let me cut their hair for free. I knew that this was what I wanted to do. I said: 'This is it. This is my passion.'
I didn't go to school for it until I was 22. Originally, I didn't want to study cosmetology, just barbering. But the ladies at the school convinced me otherwise.

Having a cosmetology background allows me to offer a lot more services than a regular barber does, like great shampoo services, hydrotherapy, and cranial prostheses. That's one of the things that separates me from every other barber in the city. I want to help my clients take their hair and beards to another level.

I want Bosses and Beards to be a household name. I distinguish myself with the unique services and offer more than just a haircut. That's why clients love to come see me. I eventually want to open up multiple locations and franchise the brand."
