Purpose of The Mullins Chamber of Commerce
• A Chamber of Commerce is an association or network of businesspeople designed to promote and protect the interests of its members. A chamber of commerce is often a nonprofit organization made up of a board of directors who meet monthly on behalf of the citizens in the town.
• To advance the civic, commercial, economic, industrial, social and general interests of the people and businesses of the Town of Mullins and the surrounding territory.
• To promote cooperation in all matters of interest to the business and professional men and women of the City of Mullins and surrounding territory; to develop and increase civic interest; to create and maintain higher standards in business dealings; to compile and distribute information to its members, and to others for their benefit and to aid and protect its members; and to do all things as are properly within the scope of such an organization for the welfare of its members and the community.
• To affect a closer association of the merchants and businessmen of Mullins and the area through educational and cooperative programs.
• To develop and further a genuine spirit of cooperation among its members in all matters pertaining to the welfare of the community so that it may be a better place in which to live.
• To promote legislation beneficial to members and the consuming public and to oppose legislation detrimental to said interests.
• To promote industrial growth, to aid agricultural development, and to aid in the promotion of tourism in the city, county and state.
• To join with local, state or national organizations or agencies whose purpose and aims are similar in nature to the Chamber.
